Texas has a lot of land and space. Lots of people plant different things. Pearland has many residents who enjoy doing this. But, designing and maintaining a big yard requires a lot of work. Fall is a good time to clean up and improve the landscaping of your yard.
On September 9, Pearland Chinese Association invited Mr. Shaowen Fu to give a seminar on background landscaping. The main purpose of this seminar is to show everybody some skills and practical ideas so they can design their yards by themselves, possibly without helps from a landscape architect.
Mr. Fu taught the audience how to improve existing designs by planting different flowers, veggies, and building pergolas and patios. During the seminar, many people asked questions about which kind of stones to pick and the cares of various plants. Mr. Fu answered them all patiently. At the end, he showed a few of his recent projects and explained why he used certain ideas.
He also showed the audience the before and after pictures. This seminar was very helpful to many people. Mr. Fu is also good at growing plants. He brought eight different plants he grew to use as prizes for the audience.
