The global outbreak of COVID-19 has been rapidly evolving in the past few days. As the pandemic continues to spread, our city’s first responders and health care workers are working aggressively in preparation for the potential of community spread. However, many healthcare workers in our communities are experiencing a shortage of supplies needed to fight the coronavirus. The community-based organizations at the frontlines of the coronavirus outbreak need all the protection they could have to better serve our community.

Donation
During this difficult time, as part of the Pearland community, the Pearland Chinese Association (TXPCA) has decided to donate money and supplies to help alleviate the shortage and fight the spread of the disease. Meanwhile, the Pearland Chinese Association, in partnership with the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (AYLUS) Pearland Branch and Hua Xia Chinese School Pearland Campus, would like to encourage all community members to contribute to this effort.
The Pearland Chinese Association will purchase supplies requested by the first responders and health care workers from verified suppliers to help fight the spread of the coronavirus. Currently, we DO NOT accept any in-kind donations due to the lack of capacity.
Given the scarcity of medical supplies available at this time, TXPCA may not be able to purchase all the supplies requested. In that case, TXPCA will donate the rest of the funds to local nonprofit organizations that support the needs of those disproportionately impacted by coronavirus and the economic consequences of the outbreak.
TXPCA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and nonpartisan organization.TXPCA is run by volunteers and does not charge any overhead fees. All donation is tax-deductible and greatly appreciated. Any donations worth $25 or more will be recognized with a receipt.
All detailed information about the donation and the use of the fund will be published on TXPCA’s website.
